The endothelium is the inner wall of the vessel. Metabolic processes take place in the inner wall of the vessel, during which the molecule NO (nitric oxide) is formed from L-arginine. By releasing NO, the vessel dilates, blood flow improves and blood pressure drops. One speaks of ” endothelial dysfunction ” when the vessel can no longer expand sufficiently. Causes of endothelial dysfunction can be, in particular, insufficient availability of L-arginine or inadequate utilization of L-arginine, caused, for example, by deposits on the inner wall of the vessel.
Homocysteine is a breakdown product in human metabolism. Homocysteine must be constantly broken down with the significant participation of the three B vitamins vitamin B6, vitamin B12 and folic acid. If there is a lack of one or more of the vitamins, homocysteine can no longer be sufficiently broken down. The homocysteine level rises. A permanently elevated homocysteine level leads to the formation of plaque (calcareous residues) on the inner wall of the vessels. Elevated homocysteine levels are associated with cardiovascular disease and have similar effects as elevated cholesterol levels.
Arteriosclerosis , popularly known as hardening of the arteries, describes the stiffening and narrowing of the vessels. Risk factors for arteriosclerosis are primarily poor diet (e.g. simple fats, alcohol, lack of vitamins), too little exercise and the often associated high cholesterol level and high homocysteine level. Arteriosclerosis and high blood pressure are directly related, because poor blood circulation and stiff vessels lead to high blood pressure.

Take 4 capsules daily before meals with plenty of water. The stated daily intake must not be exceeded. You can divide the intake into 2×2 capsules (morning and evening) or take four capsules once a day. Instead of water, you can also use fruit juice or a juice spritzer.
If you have problems taking capsules, you can also open the capsules and just dissolve the contents in water or juice and take them. Please note that L-arginine has a rather bitter taste.
